I would like to purchase a Hindle Exhaust System for a vintage model. Where do I buy it?

All of our vintage exhaust systems are exclusively available through Ripple Rock Racers: https://www.ripplerockracers.com/

General inquiry

Do I need to re-tune my bike after installing an exhaust system?

We design all of our products on fully stock bikes (bikes that have not yet been tuned). For some models, it is best to tune to get the most performance out of the new setup, but it is not necessary. This is mainly for full systems.

For slip-ons, since you are only replacing the stock mid-pipe and muffler, you do not really need to re-tune. If you are looking for a little more performance, then you could think about adding it (but it is not necessary).

I would like to become a Hindle Dealer. How do I apply?

Our current dealer program is for Canada and International, excluding USA. Here is a link to our Hindle Dealer Application: Hindle Dealer Application

If you are in the USA and looking to order our current lineup of Hindle Exhaust Systems (excluding vintage and Clearance/Blowout), please contact our exclusive USA distributor, Woodcraft Technologies: https://woodcraft-cfm.com/pages/dealer-application

I’m having an installation issue. How do I get help?

Please reach out to one of our techs right away if you are having an install issue. Give us a call at 905-985-6111 or send details and photos to info@hindle.com. Do not continue installing the system if there is an issue. Do not start up the bike if there is an issue with the install.

I’d like to see a dyno graph for the Hindle Exhaust for my year/make/model. Where can I find that?

Most dyno graphs/charts can be found on the specific product page. If you don’t see one there, please send us an email to info@hindle.com requesting your specific dyno graph/chart. We will do our best to send you one.

Do you recommend using stock gaskets when installing the Hindle Exhaust System?

Some models do re-use the stock gaskets. Please make sure that they are in good condition before re-using. Or, you may order new OEM gaskets from your local dealer. We do not stock OEM gaskets. Please refer to the specific installation instructions.

I can’t find specific instructions for the installation for the Hindle Exhaust System for my specific year/make/model.

Most installation instructions can be found on the specific product page. While we strive to have specific installation instructions for every model, some we do not have (such as older models, etc.). If you have any specific questions about installation, always reach out to our techs first before proceeding.

The slip joints are super tight when I am trying to install my Hindle Exhaust System. What can I use to help with the install?

We recommend using WD-40 on the slip joins when installing your full system. Please note: this may cause some smokiness at the slip joints with the first start up. That is normal.

What can I clean my system and/or muffler with?

It is best to use a non-abrasive cleaner on Stainless and Titanium surfaces. We like Mr. Clean, distilled vinegar or acetone if it’s a deep mark. If using acetone, please be very cautious as this is a solvent. If your system and/or muffler is painted in Black Cerakote, DO NOT use solvents. Water or vinegar with a soft cloth should take off any finger prints or marks.

I can’t get my Evolution Noise Reducer inside my muffler. What am I doing wrong?

The noise reducers are a tight fit. You may find that it will need to be tapped in with a rubber mallet, or removed using pliers. It is normal for it to be a tight fit.

My Stealth Noise Reducer won’t go inside the tip of my muffler

The Stealth Noise Reducer is meant to go in the elbow/mid-pipe side of the muffler. You will need to remove your muffler off of the elbow/mid-pipe and install the noise reducer on that side of the muffler. Using something with a longer handle, tap in the noise reducer from that end until it wedges itself inside the tapered part of the muffler, towards the end cap. If it slides all the way through, you have a Supersport muffler and can’t use a noise reducer.

How do I tell if my Ovalor Round muffler is a Stealth or a Supersport muffler?

If you are not sure if your muffler is Stealth or Supersport, you can check the inside of the muffler on the End Cap/outlet side. If you can see a smooth ring of material and perforated material starts INSIDE of that ring, this is a STEALTH MUFFLER. All Evolution Megaphones and Mufflers are Supersport style and must use the Evolution Noise Reducer here

All Supersport and Stealth mufflers will look the same from the outside; however, they are built slightly different on the inside. The Stealth muffler core has a slight taper towards the outlet of the muffler.

Can’t I just purchase a Hindle muffler and install it on my stock exhaust system/mid-pipe?

No, this will not work. The Hindle muffler does not mount the same way as stock and is also not the same dimensions as stock. You will need either the model-specific Hindle slip-on elbow/midpipe or the entire Hindle Full System to install the Hindle muffler on your bike.

Do you offer in-house tuning?

Yes, we do! Send us an email to tuning@hindle.com to book your in-house tuning session. We prioritize customers with Hindle Exhausts, but are open to tuning bikes with other systems if we have the time. More details on tuning can be found here: Dyno Tuning

Do you have maps for Power Commanders?

Some maps can be found directly on Dynojet’s website. If you can’t find one there, send us an email to tuning@hindle.com to see if we have the map in our database. Typically we will only have maps for bikes that we have tuned in-house, as the bikes we design on are kept completely stock. Also, you can choose a map with another manufacturer’s exhaust as a good baseline.

Do you offer other services at your manufacturing facilities, other than tuning?

We do offer Hindle Exhaust installs. Our tech is a licensed motorcycle mechanic and can perform any services; however, we do limit what we do in-house. If you want other services done, we can refer you to a licensed motorcycle mechanic.

Shipping

How long will my order take to ship?

While we keep most components of every muffler or system in stock, most of the time we do have to build it. Turnaround time can be a few days if it’s in stock, or 1-2 weeks if we have to build it. We try our best to get every order out as fast as we can.
