1. Read both sides of instructions before installing exhaust system.
2. Remove stock exhaust system as per your owner's manual.
3. Remove centre stand (where applicable).
4. Using new gaskets (not included), install flanges onto motor.
5. Observe position of spring holes on flanges in the general diagram below.
6. Tighten flange nuts finger tight. Hang springs from holes on bottom of flanges.
7. Check that spring on flange lines up with spring tabs on primary tubes.
8. Use high temperature silicone sealant on the inside of primary tubes to install them onto the flanges.
9. Push primary all the way into flanges.
10. Tighten flange nuts evenly. Do not over tighten and bend flanges.
11. Install spring onto primary spring tabs using spring tool provided with system.
12. Install collector onto primaries using silicone sealant on the inside of collector and install springs.
13. Install elbow onto collector using silicone sealant on inside of elbow and install springs.
14. Slide muffler over top of elbow. Use small amount of sealant on the inside of the muffler.
15. Install muffler clamp with rubber. Make sure muffler and elbow are not pushing exhaust system down into fairing, radiator, wires, oil lines or swing arm. Install springs from muffler to elbow. In some cases, stock radiator bolt is substituted with a tie-wrap for more radiator clearance.
16. For high pipe systems, remove both rear passenger foot pegs and use custom bracket provided to mount muffler. Some systems can retain rear passenger foot pegs by using two (2) 2¾" stainless steel tube spacers and two (2) 8mm x 100mm bolts to extend the foot peg out over the muffler. You may have to remove turn signals and use aftermarket turn signals (flushmounts). The high pipe system also comes with a heat shield to prevent the heel of your boot from burning on the elbow. Position of the heat shield may vary depending on rider's heel position. To install, drill two 1/8" holes through heat shield and into elbow, use rivets and spacer nuts provided under heat shield to secure heat shield to the elbow.
17. Start the motorcycle and check for exhaust leaks. If exhaust leaks, re-install.
18. Re-install fairings and check for adequate clearance.
19. After test ride, check fairing, radiator, wires, oil lines and swing arm clearance. Re-adjust if necessary.
20. To remove Hindle exhaust system use WD40 on slip-joints to help removal. Gently work joints apart.
21. Enjoy the added performance of your new Hindle Exhaust System!

GSXR1000 (2001-2003)
For installation of full system and slip-on system (not bolt-on muffler). To eliminate fuel injection light from staying illuminated, remove exhaust valve servo-motor and cut black with brown stripe wire on ECM unit. The location of the wire is at the back row and second wire in. Cut 1½" from plug in order to reconnect the wire for future use.

GSX1300R (1999-2008)
For installation of full system, when installing the elbow and muffler make sure that the exhaust system is not being pushed down towards the ground. You may have to pull exhaust system upwards and install muffler clamp. Check for adequate radiator and fairing clearance, if required use tie-rap to secure lower radiator mount to insure more clearance.

YZF750 (1993-1998), YZF1000 (1996-1997) & YZF1000R1 (1998-2008)
For installation of full system, remove cables from EXUP valve however the servo-motor must be left plugged in.

FOOT PEG SPACER KIT MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
The rear passenger foot peg kit will extend the foot peg out over the muffler. Pass the long bolts through the foot peg, insert the spacers over the bolts, and use the washers and nuts provided to attach the assembly to the foot peg mount on the bike's frame.

The Yamaha R6's, RC51's and the GSXR750's body work on the tail section extends over the frame and will interfere with the mounting process. You will have to cut holes or grind clearance space in the tail section in order to utilize the passenger foot peg kit.

The 2002-03 Yamaha R1 and the 2002 Honda 954 do not utilize a bracket for the high mount system. Simply use the shortest spacer provided with the medium length bolt to mount the muffler bracket.

2003-2005 YAMAHA R6 SPECIAL PASSENGER FOOTPEG INSTRUCTIONS: After removing the stock foot peg from its location, pass the 65mm bolts down through the sub-frame of the bike, then through the 1” spacers, into the pass bracket and the bracket used to hang the muffler. Be sure the tail piece of the bracket is facing the rear of the bike. Fasten tightly using the washers and hex nuts provided.

The additional 1.5” spacers and 70mm bolts are provided to space the left side foot peg down to level footing position.
